Two Broward-based Black women recently became the newest Tropical Smoothie franchisees when they opened up their locations over the summer at 2510 W Broward Blvd in Ft Lauderdale.

The menu features the full Tropical Smoothie lineup in addition to a light menu of toasted flatbreads, wraps, sandwiches, quesadillas, and bowls.

2. RENEW Smoothies & Salads

Kesha Andrews launched Renew Smoothies and Salads in 2015 in Miramar. From the acai fruit bowl, paninis, and salads to their star turkey burger, they’ve got every flavor covered. And if you’re into juices, they have you covered with a wide range of juice flavors and smoothies.

Got kids? They even have a special menu for your little munchkins, because they know “it’s a full-time job to make your kids eat healthy veggies and fruits.” 

3. Juice Defined 

Juice Defined is a new Black-owned juicery that recently opened up shop in Opa-locka. The juices are 100% natural, handmade, and cold pressed. There’s also a complete detox education in the form of ebooks and webinars.

 

4. Smoothie Express 

Check out the Black-owned Smoothie Express located at 11020 Pembroke Rd and get your fix on tropical fruit juices, smoothies, veggies, and healthy snacks. The menu is loaded with salads, sandwiches, burgers, and paninis.

5. The Squeeze Juice Bar 

Squeeze the sun with garden-fresh juices from The Squeeze Juice Bar. Launched by Jamaican entrepreneur Elan Gye Doeman, The Squeeze Juice Bar is a quick-service restaurant that serves you healthy and nutritious food alternatives. At SJB you can have a meal with made-to-order juices, smoothies, panini sandwiches, and salads as well as keto bowls, Beyond Burger paninis, and falafel tacos.
